AZ, Grand Canyon

Location: North Rim of the Grand Canyon. The distant, remote northwest corner of the national park.

… When we finally got to the Tuweep camping after annoying 2+ hours of driving, we found out that we forgot to re-fill our water tanks and we forgot to buy bottled water too… Our water reserve was the one gallon of water for two people for two days in Arizona heat… Of course, we could left in the morning and didn’t risk ourselves to dehydration. But, this place was the whole reason of the trip, more than 1200 miles one way… and left, just like that?
We decided to stay… There were couple campers and ranger … anyway, if things got worse, we were not going to die, but going to be ashamed for being spoiled by civilization…
We spread our water for the period of stay. It was never enough, and thirst never gave up showing its presence. We learned again that values of the things depend on the circumstances you are in that particular moment.
